PwC’s Sustainable Business Solutions team has experience of working with both public and private sector organisations to examine how community and environmental benefits can be maximised within the current country-specific and EU legislative environment. PwC has been active in procurement review and benchmarking, defining sustainable procurement objectives, strategy and policy, development of sustainability criteria for procurement policies and measuring economic, environmental and social impacts.

Significant
Significant has been an independent research and consultancy firm since 2003. Significant is market leader in the field of public procurement within the Netherlands and advises clients on the implementation of Sustainable Procurement and Corporate Social Responsibility. Consultants of Significant have carried out research and consultancy projects on public procurement for more than 20 years and have a broad experience in conducting methodologically complex studies based on large-scale data collection.
Significant is closely associated with the development of policy on Sustainable Procurement within the Netherlands and the development of environmental requirements. Recently, it completed the Sustainable Procurement Public Sector Monitor 2006 (
Monitor Duurzame Bedrijfsvoering Overheden 2006). This large-scale study was carried out for SenterNovem and the Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment, and shows a large similarity to the current study on Green Public Procurement. The Monitor is widely regarded as a state-of-the-art method for measuring levels of Green Public Procurement.
